Get Better Results From Your Workout

There was a time that I worked out with the weights regularly and saw no results. I would exercise harder and harder, weeks and months would pass, still no results. If this is what is happening with you, I have a possible solution. Start taking protein or amino acid supplements. I started taking amino acid supplements, and results started happening. My arms started getting bigger and more defined. I didn’t become a competitive bodybuilder. However, I started to see results that I had not seen before.

It made sense. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein and the foundation for muscle growth. I was not getting what my body needed to build muscle. Once I gave it what it needed, my body responded in a positive way. It built muscle. Therefore, if you want to build muscle, start taking an amino acid complex and start weight training.

Remember always to check with your doctor before taking any supplements and starting an exercise program.

Get Exercise Equipment Cheap

Would you like to get some exercise equipment at a low price? It’s simple, if you are not in a hurry. I have a gym membership. However, I wanted to start collecting exercising equipment for my basement. I know what I wanted but did not want to spend a lot of money on it. What did I do you may be asking? I kept my ears open, for people wanting to get equipment out of their basement. When this happened, within a short period of time, I had a universal machine for $125. After that, someone, I know was willing to give theirs away if someone just got it out of their basement. Both older machines but barely used. What happened next was interesting. I was asked if I wanted some weights and barbells because they wanted to get them out of their basement.

If you are patient, you can get good used equipment, cheap or even free. Put the word out on Facebook. Post what you are looking for and see what happens. Let your social network do the work for you.

Therefore, if you what to get cheap exercise equipment, keep your ears open, get the word out, and be patient.

  • Start drinking ice-cold water
  • Water makes up ¾ of your body. It is necessary for having good health. It is said that drinking cold water can boost your metabolism because your body has to burn calories to get your temperature back up to normal.

  • It has been shown that green tea may help boost your metabolism

    Deal With Your Emotional Eating

    If you are an emotional eater, you must learn how to deal with this obstacle if you desire to lose weight and keep it off.

    What can you do to deal with emotional overeating?

  • Exercise
  • Exercise is the main thing that helped me deal with emotional eating. This is because exercise helps to reduce stress and improve your mood.

  • Commitment
  • Make a commitment to change your behavior.

  • Be aware
  • Be aware of what’s happening when you eat. When do you do it? What circumstances cause it. Write them down. Make a plan to deal with them.

  • Stress
  • Develop positive ways to reduce your stress (examples: exercise and breathing exercises).

  • Find new activities to replace food.
  • Develop a list of activities that you like to do. When an emotional event happens and you are ready to eat, do something on that list instead of eating (examples: go for a walk, surf the web, pet your animal, play music, take a warm bath, read a book, see a movie, do something in the garden, or just call to a friend).

  • Get sleep
  • It is easier to get emotional and eat when you are tired.

    If you can learn how to deal with your emotional eating, you can lose the weight you desire and keep it off.

  • Watch and keep track of the portions you eat.

  • Stay motivated
  • Develop a reason for losing weight, use positive self-talk, visualize your results, and use rewards to help motivate yourself.

  • Take responsibility for your results
  • Give up the excuses, blame game, and take total responsibility for your weight, health and fitness results.

  • Commit to getting fit
  • Find activities you like, and commit to doing them regularly, from this point forward. Getting fit will help optimize the other things in this post.

    If you do the things on this list, you should be able to move in a positive direction towards your weight loss goals.

    If you plan to eat out at a restaurant, a buffet, a party or a family gathering, develop a plan that helps you remain in control of your eating. Here are some ways that can help you to remain in control when you eat out:

  • Don’t go hungry
  • Stay away from the bread baskets
  • Make healthy choices
  • Eat more vegetables
  • Every bit you take, eat less
  • Eat half your meal and pack half to eat as another meal
  • Chew slowly
  • Choose only your favorite items at a buffet table not everything
  • Slow down and enjoy your food
  • Pause and actually taste your food
  • Start with salad, light on the dressing
  • Have fruit for dessert
  • Eating out does not mean that you have to forget about losing weight. It just means that you must be smarter about it.
