Eat Slowly To Lose Weight – Weight Loss Advice

This one is extremely hard for me. I grew up in a large family where you had to shovel it in as fast as you could if you wanted seconds. However, as I got older, this aided in my weight gain. So I have a word of advice. Put your fork down between every bite. Take drinks of water frequently. Talk in-between bite. This worked for me. Why you may be asking? It is the 20 minute rule. This rule takes into account that your brain lags (the full feeling) behind your stomach by 20 minutes. Therefore, if you eat slowly, your brain will catch up sooner to tell you that you are done (full).
