Mix It Up To Shed Weight

Over six years ago, when I was in the process of losing 50 pounds, I found that periodically my body would adjust in a different way than I would have thought. If I did the same exercise routine for weeks, my body would adjust and would get used to the new normal, and the results would come slower. If I ate about the same amount of calories for weeks at a time, the results would slow down after a while.

Therefore, I realized that I had to mix it up. I had to switch cardio with strength training. I had to increase my cardio, duration and intensity.

Also, I had to increase my calorie intake occasionally, for a day, to keep my body from adjusting to the new norm. In other words, I had to mix it up.

Therefore, if you want to shed weight, mix it up and take the weight off.
