Weight Loss Reasons Verses Weight Loss Excuses

The other day I was talking to a lady about losing weight. She said she was trying to lose weight but couldn’t because… This is typical.
When I talk to people about weight loss, many times I am given excuses for why they can’t lose weight. If you are like this person, there is hope.

What you need to do is to replace the “I can’t” with “I can.” This is because if you feel that you can’t, you won’t. You need to turn those excuses for not losing weight into reasons for losing weight. For example, “I can’t lose weight because I have bad knees and can’t jog.” It should be changed to, “I will find an exercise that won’t kill my knees so that I can lose weight. This will take the weight off my knees, relieving some of the pain.”

First, the key here is to realize that you are using excuses that are holding you back from losing weight. Then you need to transform those excuses into reasons for losing weight, like I mentioned above. If you can do this, you will be able to lose weight and keep it off for a lifetime.
