How To Stop OverEating – Weight Loss Tip

It is not bad that people eat. What is bad, is when they overeat. Years ago I was one of those people. Every meal I would stuff myself like a pig. What I did not realize was that when I stuffed myself as much as I did, I was actually hurting my body. What I did not realize was that my body had to process all that food and do something with it. It turned some into energy, dumped some out, and turned the rest to fat. It became a problem and promoted my unhealthy weight gain. Also, most of the fat went to my abdominal area.

How do you stop your over-eating problem? Here are a few things that helped me.

  • Eat a healthy snack about a half-hour before dinner. This will curb your hunger and help you to eat less.
  • Eat slowly at dinner. This will help you to feel fuller without eating a lot of food.
  • Stop when you just start to feel full. Once are stuffed, it is too late.
  • Exercise more. This will remind you that you need to work off what you put in. It will help you to pay more attention to what and how much you eat.
  • If you can do these few things, you can stop overeating and lose the weight you desire.

    You worked hard at losing weight. You exercise regularly. You are eating healthier. You have cut down on your portion sizes. Then something happens. It is a moment during the weight loss process. It is a magical moment. The moment that losing weight finally clicks. It is the moment that the weight really starts to come off. It is pure joy. It is the moment that you realize that you can reach your weight loss goal. It is that moment you realize that you can do it because you are doing it. It is the magical moment when you realize that all of your hard work has paid off.

    Why did I write about this magical moment? It is because if you aren’t there yet, you can be. You can lose the weight you desire and keep it off. You can get to that magical moment.     Great Weight-Loss Foods To Eat

    Want to lose weight? Try increasing your fiber intake. It is a good way to help attain you weight-loss goal.
    Below are a few high-fiber foods that can help you in the weight-loss process.

    Apples

    This is my favorite. I ate a lot (and still do) of apples when I was in the weight-loss process.

    Green Beans

    I am not a green bean fan. However, they are high in fiber and vitamin C.

    Sweet Potatoes

    Sweet potatoes are high in fiber and packed with vitamin A. vitamin C, vitamin E, potassium, iron, magnesium, beta-carotene and more…

    Raspberries

    Raspberries are a good source of fiber. It also is a good source of vitamin C.

    Strawberries

    Strawberries are a good source of fiber and great source of vitamin C.

    Chickpeas

    Chickpeas are a great source fiber and a good source of vitamin B6.

    Pumpkin

    Pumpkin is a good source of fiber along with being a good source of vitamin C, E, potassium and a great source of vitamin A.

    If you eat more fiber, you should start to see better weight-loss results.

It is a thought process. It is how you think. If you can change the way, you think, you can lose the weight you desire. Change your thinking and change your results.

Only you can change your weight-loss results. Don’t try to find shortcuts. There isn’t any. You are responsible for your weight loss, not a pill, not your friends, not your family, you. I will give you the biggest secret to losing weight and keeping it off. It’s you. You are the secret. Your thinking will allow you to lose weight or gain it. If you think losing weight is hard. You will torture yourself the entire time, and you will fail. If you think losing weight is attainable, you can succeed. It is about your thinking. It is about your attitude towards, exercise and the weight loss process. It is about you.

    Only you can change your results. Only you can do what it will take to make it happen. Don’t make excuses, and don’t blame anyone or anything for the bad choices you have made in the past.     Eat healthier lower calorie foods

    Eat leaner protein and high-fiber foods. This will give you a better chance of losing weight and keeping it off.

    Eat Less – Burn More

    Weight loss is about eating less and burning more calories.

    Drink lots of cold water

    Drink 8 cups of water daily. This will help with losing weight and keeping it off.

    Eat small meals throughout the day

    Eating smaller meals of healthier foods can help keep your metabolism up and help you to burn more calories.

    Use a weight-loss journal

    A weight-loss journal can help you to lose weight by showing you what and how much you actually eat.

    Get Better Results From Your Workout

    There was a time that I worked out with the weights regularly and saw no results. I would exercise harder and harder, weeks and months would pass, still no results. If this is what is happening with you, I have a possible solution. Start taking protein or amino acid supplements. I started taking amino acid supplements, and results started happening. My arms started getting bigger and more defined. I didn’t become a competitive bodybuilder. However, I started to see results that I had not seen before.

    It made sense. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein and the foundation for muscle growth. I was not getting what my body needed to build muscle. Once I gave it what it needed, my body responded in a positive way. It built muscle. Therefore, if you want to build muscle, start taking an amino acid complex and start weight training.

    Remember always to check with your doctor before taking any supplements and starting an exercise program.

    Get Exercise Equipment Cheap

    Would you like to get some exercise equipment at a low price? It’s simple, if you are not in a hurry. I have a gym membership. However, I wanted to start collecting exercising equipment for my basement. I know what I wanted but did not want to spend a lot of money on it. What did I do you may be asking? I kept my ears open, for people wanting to get equipment out of their basement. When this happened, within a short period of time, I had a universal machine for $125. After that, someone, I know was willing to give theirs away if someone just got it out of their basement. Both older machines but barely used. What happened next was interesting. I was asked if I wanted some weights and barbells because they wanted to get them out of their basement.

    If you are patient, you can get good used equipment, cheap or even free. Put the word out on Facebook. Post what you are looking for and see what happens. Let your social network do the work for you.

    Therefore, if you what to get cheap exercise equipment, keep your ears open, get the word out, and be patient.

    Deal With Your Emotional Eating

    If you are an emotional eater, you must learn how to deal with this obstacle if you desire to lose weight and keep it off.

    What can you do to deal with emotional overeating?

  • Exercise
  • Exercise is the main thing that helped me deal with emotional eating. This is because exercise helps to reduce stress and improve your mood.

  • Commitment
  • Make a commitment to change your behavior.

  • Be aware
  • Be aware of what’s happening when you eat. When do you do it? What circumstances cause it. Write them down. Make a plan to deal with them.

  • Stress
  • Develop positive ways to reduce your stress (examples: exercise and breathing exercises).

  • Find new activities to replace food.
  • Develop a list of activities that you like to do. When an emotional event happens and you are ready to eat, do something on that list instead of eating (examples: go for a walk, surf the web, pet your animal, play music, take a warm bath, read a book, see a movie, do something in the garden, or just call to a friend).

  • Get sleep
  • It is easier to get emotional and eat when you are tired.

    If you can learn how to deal with your emotional eating, you can lose the weight you desire and keep it off.
