Weight-Loss Results Are Worth the Investment

The decision to lose weight is usually not made lightly. Making weight loss happen is another challenge. However, the investment of losing weight is worth the results. What are the things that you will need to invest? You will need to invest, time, focus, attitude, and possibly a little bit of money. However, it is worth it. It is worth it for a healthier future. It is worth it for more energy. It is worth it to look a little younger. It is worth it for the compliments. It is worth it to feel better. It is worth it to be able to do what you have not been able to do for years.

Since I lost 50 pounds, I looked younger, feel better, and look better. It is the best decision I have ever made. My weight-loss results are worth the investment and it will pay dividends. It can be this way for you. Let’s make the investment in losing weight and let’s make it happen. You won’t be disappointed.

8 Weight Loss Mistakes I Made

When I was in the weight-loss process, I made mistakes. However, I learned from those mistakes, and I lost 50 pounds in 4 months. Below are some of the mistakes I made. Read them and learn from them, so that you don’t make them.

  • I thought that I could lose it without doing anything different.
  • You can’t lose weight without making changes. It won’t happen.

  • I thought that just because I started exercising, it would be enough.
  • You should exercise if you want to lose weight, however, most people eat way too much and need to reduce their food intake.

  • I thought that I needed to lose a few pounds instead of realizing that I had a weight problem.
  • I was overweight but refused to admit it, to myself or anyone else. You need to admit you have a weight problem, before you are willing to do anything about it.

  • Although my results were fast, I thought they should have been a lot faster.
  • It took me years to gain the weight, but I thought it should come off over night. It takes time to reverse years of overeating.

  • I Did Not Think I Would Have Setbacks
  • Setbacks will happen. There were days I overate and my weight went up instead of down. It happens. There were days that my weight did not move at all. It will happen. That doesn’t mean you failed. It just means that you have had a little setback.

  • I thought I Would Have to Make Big changes
  • You can make small changes for big results. I thought that I had to make drastic changes to lose weight. I didn’t. I just made small incremental changes over time. However, they were changes that I was willing to do from this point forward. If I was not willing to do it from this day forwards, I did not do it. I would find a different direction.

  • Not setting a goal
  • You need to set a weight loss goal if you want to lose weight. Without a weight loss goal, all you have are good intensions.

  • Thinking exercising as a chore
  • If you don’t link to exercise you won’t do it long term. Therefore, you need to find an exercise that you like doing, so that you will be willing to exercise long term.

    Focus On Your Weight Loss Results

    To lose weight and keep it off you need to have intense focus. You need to have intense focus on results. Why you may be asking? The answer is simple. If you focus on results, you won’t focus on the process. If you don’t focus on the process, you won’t get hung up on the little things that you need to do to lose weight. This is because you have a goal that you are going after intensely, and nothing can stop you. You will not try to find time to exercise. You will make time to exercise. You will cut your portion sizes. Not just talk about it. You will bring a light healthy lunch to work, not go out for lunch and super size at the fast-food restaurant. That is because you focused on the results. You have a goal you are after. You don’t complain about the process. You look forward to a thinner and healthier future.

    Take Your Own Weight Loss Advice and Lose Weight

    If someone asked you for your advice, you would give it to them, wouldn’t you? What about if someone asked you how they could lose weight? What would you tell them?

  • Would you tell them to start eating less?
  • Would you tell them to start an exercise program?
  • Would you tell them to eat a little healthier?
  • Would you tell them to get off the sofa at night and do something active?
  • Would you tell them to pack a light healthy lunch?
  • Would you tell them not to go up for seconds?
  • Would you tell them to have only one scoop of ice cream?

    Totally Commit

    You need to be totally committed to losing weight. Without a total commitment to do what needs to be done, you will fail at losing weight.

    Picture The Future You

    Picture how you what the future you to look. Your mind has a funny way of making it happen.

    Be Positive to Lose Weight

    Remove your negative thoughts towards losing weight and exercise, so that you will have a better chance of succeeding at losing weight.

    See it And Be It

    Imagine your weight and energy the way you want to see it, and then make it happen.

    Think and Lose Weight – Weight Loss Mindset

    I wrote an entire book about thinking and losing weight. One of the biggest mistake’s people make is that they don’t think. They don’t think about every decision that they make throughout the day with respect to food and activity.

    I was talking to someone who said they we trying to lose weight. Then two minutes later invited me to go out for pizza at lunch. He was not thinking, and this was counter productive.

    Do you take the elevator or the stairs? Do you park away from the door or fight for a close parking spot? I see people in the parking lot of the gym, waiting for a parking spot near the door. What’s up with that? Pick a spot and walk. It’s EXERCISE!!! Think about every choice you make. Think about the weight you want to lose and then make better decisions. If you do this, you will get better weight loss results.

    Replace Those Bad Habits To Lose Weight

    Bad habits can be hard to lose. Many of them don’t even know they are doing them because they have been doing them for so long, they don’t know any different. I know because I was there.

    Now is the time to change. Replace the mindset that you have to eat it all. Get rid of the mindset that you have to clean your plate before you can leave the table.

    Now is the time to change. Eat smaller portion sizes. Take a smaller piece. When eating out, order from the children’s menu so that the portion size is smaller, or take some of it home for another meal.

    If you can identify and replace some of those bad eating habits, you will lose the weight you desire.

    Have a Strong Desire To Lose Weight

    To lose weight and keep it off, you have to have a strong desire to do it. You have to be willing to make a strong commitment to weight loss. One of the best things to do is to set a weight-loss goal that you can commit to.

    Your goal should be the weight that you want to reach. You also need to set a timeframe for reaching that goal. In other words, your goal should be reachable and quantifiable. An example of a weight-loss goal can be. You want to lose 30 pounds by __/___/___date.

    The best way to handle this goal is to break it up into smaller manageable goals or checkpoints along the way. This will ensure that you are on the right track.

    Track your goals by using a weight-loss chart and watch the weight come off.

    How To Stop OverEating – Weight Loss Tip

    It is not bad that people eat. What is bad, is when they overeat. Years ago I was one of those people. Every meal I would stuff myself like a pig. What I did not realize was that when I stuffed myself as much as I did, I was actually hurting my body. What I did not realize was that my body had to process all that food and do something with it. It turned some into energy, dumped some out, and turned the rest to fat. It became a problem and promoted my unhealthy weight gain. Also, most of the fat went to my abdominal area.

    How do you stop your over-eating problem? Here are a few things that helped me.

  • Eat a healthy snack about a half-hour before dinner. This will curb your hunger and help you to eat less.
  • Eat slowly at dinner. This will help you to feel fuller without eating a lot of food.
  • Stop when you just start to feel full. Once are stuffed, it is too late.
  • Exercise more. This will remind you that you need to work off what you put in. It will help you to pay more attention to what and how much you eat.
  • If you can do these few things, you can stop overeating and lose the weight you desire.
