  • Reduce Calories
  • Reducing calories will help you lose weight and burn fat quickly.

  • Reduce Carbs
  • Unused carbs turn into fat. Therefore, if you want to lose weight, reduce your carb intake.

  • Exercise More
  • Exercise can cause you to burn more calories. It helps also to build lean muscle mass, which helps to increase your metabolism and therefore burns calories while you sleep.

    Morning Exercise To Lose Weight And Get Fit

    When I first started down the road to weight loss, I had to make some decisions on how I was going to work exercise into my busy schedule. I made the decision to do at least a 15 to 20 minute workout daily. I also made the decision to exercise in the morning. This decision turned out to be a good one. Here is why:

    1) Statistics show that you have a better chance to sticking with your workout if you do it in the morning. This is probably because it is harder to get sidetracked if you do it in the morning.

    2) Working out in the morning allows you to speed your body’s ability to burn more calories. This is great if you would like to lose weight.

    3) Working out in the morning makes me feel good all day. It allows me to deal better with the stresses of the day.

    4) Working out in the morning makes you mentally sharper for the rest of the day.

    Burn More Calories and Lose Weight

    Check out some weight loss ideas to help you burn more calories:

  • Jump rope
  • Jump or skipping rope for 15 minutes can burn 100 calories.

  • Climb the stairs

  • Climb the stairs instead of taking the elevator, and you’ll burn some calories in the process.

  • Go For a walk
  • Walk when you can. Not only will you burn more calories. You will save money on gas.

  • Drink water
  • Try to drink a minimum of eight glasses of cold ice water a day. It can help you burn those few extra calories.

  • Eat breakfast
  • Breakfast is an important meal of the day. Don’t skip it.

  • Eat Slow
  • Eat slowly and make it point to enjoy your food. It is said that it takes 20 minutes for your brain to process that fact that you have eaten. Eat slower and you will eat less.

  • TVcize
  • Add exercising to your TV routine. Instead of sitting on the sofa and eating junk food, why not exercise. You can do sit-ups and pushups. You can exercise with an exercise band. You can get an exercise ball and work your abs. If you are really motivated, you can put a treadmill, exercise bike or elliptical machine in front of the TV and exercise while you watch your favorite shows.

  • Swap it
  • Swap a light or low-fat option of dressings and sauces whenever possible. Swap diet soda for regular and you can save over 100 calories per soda.

  • Weight train
  • Lifting weights can help you burn more calories. It will even help you burn calories when you are doing nothing. The more muscle you have, the more calories your burn.

  • Snack right
  • Instead of eating those chips, opt for nuts, fruits and vegetables. These will fill you up and help you hit your weight-loss goals.

    Eat Less and Eat Smarter to Lose Weight

    Burn more calories than you take in, and you will lose weight. This is a fact. Eat lighter and balanced meals, exercise more, and the weight will come off.

    Now with that said, it doesn’t mean you can’t eat and still lose the weight you desire. You just need to be smarter about how much you eat and what you eat.

    Eating less is important and will work, but you must also eat smarter. Eat foods that are low on the glycemic index because they will help keep your energy level even and help you to burn fat all day.

    What is exactly is the glycemic index you may be asking and what foods fall into the low end of the index? Simply, the glycemic index is a ranking of how foods affect your body’s blood glucose (sugar) levels.

    Exercise Should Be Part Of Your Weight Loss Program

    How To Increase Your Metabolism

    As an overweight society we are always looking for things that we can utilize to lose weight. There is nothing fun about being overweight and losing weight is not an easy task. It takes determination and patience. We need to learn how to eat less, exercise more. It is a fact that when you can raise your metabolism you have a greater chance of being able to lose weight because you will burn more calories.

    How do you do that? Let’s explore the answer.

    First of all, it is always important consult your doctor before starting any exercise program.

    No doubt muscle burns calories. However, in order to get muscles that burn calories you have to get off the couch. Work with weights three times a week for 45 minutes. Adding muscle mass increases your metabolism when you are at rest. Think about that, you will continue to burn calories while you are resting afterwards.

    Increase your activity between workouts. Add a 30-45 minute cardio work out a few times a week to your schedule.

    Never skip a meal. You have to kick your metabolism into gear in the morning by eating breakfast, and you need to reduce the size of your meals. You need repeatedly to maintain a calorie deficit day, in order to lose weight.

    I have mentioned before that it is a good idea to drink more water. It is a fact that water will raise your metabolism. The more water you drink the more calories you will burn. However, the impact from drinking water will be small. It is a good start and certainly a lot better than what you were doing before.

    Sleep is also important in maintaining a higher metabolism. If you don’t get enough sleep, your metabolism could be affected.
