Rewording Your Statements Can Help You Lose Weight

Changing your statements can make the difference in not only whether you lose weight but also whether you even start.

For example, changing “Why can’t I lose weight?” to “How can I lose weight?” can change everything. The first question promotes excuses. The second question promotes solutions. The first question is more negative than the second. The first question looks for justifications to remain overweight. The second question forces change.

Once you change your narrative, you are steps closer to changing your results and your future.

Skipping Breakfast Won’t Help You Lose Weight

 Skipping breakfast is sometimes thought of as an easy and simple way to lose weight. It is also common for people to reduce their calorie intake by missing breakfast. However, it is not an effective weight loss strategy. Skipping breakfast is not a good habit to adopt. It will make you tired, reduce your productivity, and increase your weight. Therefore, it is very important to make eating breakfast a habit so that you are able to reach your weight goals. It is important to lose weight by developing healthy habits that you can keep long term. Skipping breakfast is not a habit that you want to develop for the long term.

Lastly, it is a better strategy to reduce calorie intake by selecting foods that are lower in calories and to reduce portion sizes. This you can turn into a habit for the long term.

Tools To Help You Lose Weight

In order to lose the weight that you desire, you need to have a few things in place. You need to have a few tools that will help make it happen.

My book, “Don’t Diet! Just Think And Get Thin” will help you to develop the motivation you need to lose weight and keep it off. A digital scale will help you to track your daily choices. Everyday you should track your weight. You should then track where you are with respect to your short term and long term weight-loss goals. Keep track of it on a calendar that you keep next to the scale.

Create a realistic weight loss goal that you would like to reach and break that goal up into smaller attainable goals.

Create a weight loss plan to reach the above goal, and stick to the plan if it is working, adjust the plan if it is not working.

Get the right equipment for the exercise you select. Try different exercises to find ones that you enjoy doing.

Losing weight starts in your head. If you can get your head in the right place to lose the weight, the rest will fall into place.

I have assembled a few useful weight loss tips that can help you lose weight and keep it off.

Portion Control Your Snacks

When snaking, take a napkin, leave it folded, and put enough to fill 75% of your napkin. This will allow you to enjoy a snack and not destroy your weight loss endeavor.

Keep Your Weight-Loss Goals in Front of you

Write your weight-loss goals on the bathroom mirror with a dry eraser marker. Post your weight-loss goals on the refrigerator and snack cabinet. Keep them in front of you all day.

Keep Healthy Snacks in the Car

Keep single portion, healthy snacks in the car. This will keep you from the fast-food restaurants.

Use Lots of Spices

There are many spices out there that can add great taste to foods without the calories. Weight-loss food does not have to be bland.

Buy New Clothes

Weight loss can be fun. As you shed the weight, go out and buy new clothes. It will add to your motivation as you start to see yourself looking good in those new clothes.

Forgive Yourself

Everyone makes mistakes. When I was in the weight-loss process, I had days that I blew it. I beat myself up for a few minutes and then found the lesson in that mistake so that I did not do it again.

Healthy Protein Snacks to Help You Lose Weight

If you are in the weight-loss process, there is a good chance that you are not getting enough protein. Below are a few protein snacks that can help give you the protein you may need.

Cheese

I love cheese. Cheese is a great snack. It is high in protein. The only advice I will give you about cheese is to watch your portion sizes.

Eggs

Eggs are high in protein and make a great snack. Don’t fry them. Either poach them or hard boil them.

Low-fat milk

Low-fat milk is good protein snack. Once again, be cautious of your portion size.

Protein bars

Protein bars are great snack. Pay attention to the calories and other ingredients to make sure you’re getting what you think you are.

Nuts

I love nuts. I love all kinds of nuts. Nuts are my snack of choice. However, like all snacks watch your portion size.

If you exercise and are losing weight, there is a good chance that you are not getting enough protein. Protein is important to weight loss. Therefore, you should make sure that you’re getting enough.

Here are some great fruits that will help you lose weight and burn fat.

Bananas

This fruit contains glucose, fructose, sucrose, and fiber. Bananas will give you energy. This is one of my fruits of choice.

Benefits of eating Bananas include:

  • Helps your eyesight
  • Reduces blood pressure
  • Can reduce heartburn
  • Can eliminate morning sickness
  • Stop ulcers from forming
  • Lower risk of stroke
  • Oranges

    Oranges are great for weight loss and contain no cholesterol. Oranges contains vitamins C, A, and B1, fiber, calcium, and potassium.

    Benefits of eating oranges Include:

  • Can help prevent certain kinds of cancer
  • Reduce changes of kidney stones
  • Help you to have healthy tissue
  • Help to keep the body from getting viral infections
  • Helps to keep you from getting arthritis
  • Helps you to have strong bones & teeth
  • Helps to reduce blood pressure
  • Helps your cardiovascular system
  • Oranges help you to lose weight because they are low in calories and are high in fiber.

    Apples

    Apples have been shown to help people lose weight quickly.

    Benefits of eating apples include:

  • Helps to make bones stronger
  • Help to lower asthma
  • Help to stop Alzheimer’s disease
  • Help to reduce cholesterol
  • Helps top prevents certain types of cancers
  • Apples are great for reducing your body fat. Apples contain good carbs and are high in fiber.

    Pears

    Pears are high in fiber. Pears also contain high amounts of vitamins A, B1, B2, C, E, folic acid, and niacin.

    Benefits of eating pears include:

  • Lowers blood pressure and reduces risk of cancer
  • Reduces cholesterol
  • Increases your energy and immune system
  • Reduces inflammation
  • Reduces risk of osteoporosis
  • Peaches

    Peaches are high in potassium. Peaches are rich in fiber, niacin, thiamine, potassium and calcium, carotene.

    Benefits of eating peaches include:

  • Lowers risk of cataracts
  • Help lower risk of cancer and heart disease
  • Reduces cholesterol
  • Increases immune system
  • If you are on a low potassium consumption (diet), definitely consult your doctor before eating peaches.

    Other good fruits to eat are:

  • yellow mangoes
  • raspberries
  • blackberries
  • black raspberries
  • Pineapples
  • strawberries
  • blueberries
  • cherries
  • pomegranates
  • papaya
  • If you can find fruits you like to eat and add them to your food consumption, you can get leaner and thinner.

    Exercise Should Be Part Of Your Weight Loss Program

    Weight loss can be enhanced by exercising regularly. If you want to lose weight, it would be a good idea to start a regular exercise program. Exercise is important because it builds and strengthens your muscles which in turn help you to burn more calories.

    It is important to realize that the more calories you burn throughout the day mean fewer calories get stored as fat. That’s why exercise helps you to lose weight. A cardio and or weight training are great ways to help you lose weight.

    Changing your exercise routines occasionally may help you to keep your focus on your goal. It is also a good idea to rotate your workout regularly, so that you build different muscles and so that your body does not get used to your workout.
