You worked hard at losing weight. You exercise regularly. You are eating healthier. You have cut down on your portion sizes. Then something happens. It is a moment during the weight loss process. It is a magical moment. The moment that losing weight finally clicks. It is the moment that the weight really starts to come off. It is pure joy. It is the moment that you realize that you can reach your weight loss goal. It is that moment you realize that you can do it because you are doing it. It is the magical moment when you realize that all of your hard work has paid off.

Why did I write about this magical moment? It is because if you aren’t there yet, you can be. You can lose the weight you desire and keep it off. You can get to that magical moment. People often ask me this question. What is the secret to losing weight? I will tell you; however, we need to keep this our secret. The secret to losing weight resides in your head. It is your thinking. It is your thinking that will allow you to lose weight or gain it. For instance, it is a decision that causes you to go into the fast-food restaurant and super size. It is a thought process. It is how you think. If you can change the way, you think, you can lose the weight you desire. Change your thinking and change your results.

How do you do that you may be asking? Start by reading my book, read my daily blog, and get my free inspiration of the day. These will all help you to change your thinking towards food, exercise and the weight-loss process. They will help you to develop the right motivation to take you through the ups and downs of the weight-loss process. Once you can change your thinking you can lose the weight you desire. To win at losing weight, you need to develop a good set of healthy habits.

Eat healthier lower calorie foods

Eat leaner protein and high-fiber foods. This will give you a better chance of losing weight and keeping it off.

Eat Less – Burn More

Weight loss is about eating less and burning more calories.

Drink lots of cold water

Drink 8 cups of water daily. This will help with losing weight and keeping it off.

Eat small meals throughout the day

Eating smaller meals of healthier foods can help keep your metabolism up and help you to burn more calories.

Use a weight-loss journal

A weight-loss journal can help you to lose weight by showing you what and how much you actually eat.

Developing better habits can help you attain and maintain your weight-loss goals.

Learn How to Eat Less to Get Thinner

To learn how to eat less to get thinner you must:

  • Make a commitment
  • Commit totally to your goal of losing weight. This includes the commitment of time so that you can lose the weight you desire.

  • Create a plan
  • Create a new eating plan that you can live with from this day forwards.

  • Make a plan for watching what you eat
  • Watch and keep track of the portions you eat.

  • Stay motivated
  • Develop a reason for losing weight, use positive self-talk, visualize your results, and use rewards to help motivate yourself.

  • Take responsibility for your results
  • Give up the excuses, blame game, and take total responsibility for your weight, health and fitness results.

  • Commit to getting fit
  • Find activities you like, and commit to doing them regularly, from this point forward. Getting fit will help optimize the other things in this post.

    If you do the things on this list, you should be able to move in a positive direction towards your weight loss goals.

    Make A Plan When Eating Out

    If you plan to eat out at a restaurant, a buffet, a party or a family gathering, develop a plan that helps you remain in control of your eating. Here are some ways that can help you to remain in control when you eat out:

  • Don’t go hungry
  • Stay away from the bread baskets
  • Make healthy choices
  • Eat more vegetables
  • Every bit you take, eat less
  • Eat half your meal and pack half to eat as another meal
  • Chew slowly
  • Choose only your favorite items at a buffet table not everything
  • Slow down and enjoy your food
  • Pause and actually taste your food
  • Start with salad, light on the dressing
  • Have fruit for dessert
  • Eating out does not mean that you have to forget about losing weight. It just means that you must be smarter about it.

    • Reduce your sugar intake.

    • Eat a healthy snack between meals or you might overeat at dinner.
    • Eat slower
    • Eat everything in moderation.
    • Eat more fiber

    Evaluate How You Live Your Life – Weight Loss Evaluation

    • Do you exercise?

    • Do you take your vitamins?
    • Are you stressed out?
