If you plan to eat out at a restaurant, a buffet, a party or a family gathering, develop a plan that helps you remain in control of your eating. Here are some ways that can help you to remain in control when you eat out:
Don’t go hungry
Stay away from the bread baskets
Make healthy choices
Eat more vegetables
Every bit you take, eat less
Eat half your meal and pack half to eat as another meal
Chew slowly
Choose only your favorite items at a buffet table not everything
Slow down and enjoy your food
Pause and actually taste your food
Start with salad, light on the dressing
Have fruit for dessert
Eating out does not mean that you have to forget about losing weight. It just means that you must be smarter about it.

Oxygen helps burn fat away. Therefore, breathing exercises can help increase oxygen intake and assist in burning fat away. It can also help you to release stress. Additionally, stress releases a hormone that can break down muscle for energy. Relaxing, staying calm and doing breathing exercises can help you to release stress.
Remember that stressing over losing weight may actually cause you to gain it.

You can eat healthier and have a better chance of losing weight if you can do a few of the following things:
• Reduce your sugar intake.
• Reduce your fast food intake.
• Reduce your portion sizes.
• If you are a parent don’t eat your kids’ food along with your own.
• Eat a healthy snack between meals or you might overeat at dinner.
• Eat slower
• Eat everything in moderation.
• Eat more fiber
Therefore, if you want to lose weight, start eating a little healthier.

There are plenty of fad diets that work to shed pounds fast. However, there are a lot of them that leave you hungry and deprived. The problem is that this leads to regaining the weight. To keep pounds off permanently change your “diet” but don’t go on a “diet.” Instead, the key is making simple tweaks to your habits. Like eating half the dinner you usually eat and start exercising. It is amazing what a few simple changes can do for losing weight.

The scale is a great tool for losing weight. It will help you measure your weight loss progress during the weight loss process. It is also a great tool for keeping you thin once you have lost the weight. However, there is another tool that in addition to the scale can help you during the weight loss process, and that is the measuring tape. If you weight train hard as part of your weight loss exercise program, you may be losing fat and gaining muscle. The scale will show the weight loss but won’t show the muscle gain or weight redistribution (from fat to muscle). This is where the measuring can help. It can show you, for instance, that your waist got smaller but your arms got bigger. Therefore, if you are weight training heavily it may not be a bad idea to get out the measuring tape and start tracking your weight redistribution.

I have said this before, and I will say it again and again, moderation is one of the keys to losing weight. Losing weight and the maintenance of that new weight is about developing a balanced eating pattern that you can follow for a lifetime. It is about balancing the foods that you love with healthy foods for a balanced eating pattern. If you enjoy ice-cream, have a scoop, eat it slowly, and enjoy every bite. This practice of eating in moderation should you avoid out of control bingeing, so that you will gain control over food, not the other way around.
