Losing weight is a challenge for most people. However, one of the biggest challenges is starting.

Weight Loss Start / Start Losing Weight

A lot of times I hear people put off their weight loss. I hear people say, “I will lose weight after….” The question is why? Is it that they really don’t want to lose weight? If this is the case, then they will probably never start. There will always be an excuse to put it off.

We need to be honest with ourselves. Losing weight is not perceived as being fun. Therefore, most people really avoid taking that first step. They just spend time talking about it and putting off the start date. There is an old expression “Poop or get off the pot” that applies to weight loss. Either do it or don’t do it, just talking about what we are planning on doing, does not get it done. If we are serious about losing weight, we will start now. Let me ask you this, “What are you waiting for?”

When Will You Start Losing Weight?

Since more than half of Americans are overweight or obese, the question I want to ask you is, when will you start losing weight? I have the answer. When you have a strong enough reason to. When it is more painful to be overweight than it is to lose the weight. When you realize that losing weight is not a scary or painful event. When this happens, you will be ready and willing to shed the weight. When this happens, you will actually start dropping the weight. That is because at this point you will do what it takes to make it happen.

Losing weight is as painful or as fun as you make it. Therefore, make it a game. Have fun with it. Get rid of your excuses to lose weight. Remember, you are the only one that can do it, no one else. Challenge yourself, have fun, and get it done.

Take Your Own Weight Loss Advice and Lose Weight

If someone asked you for your advice, you would give it to them, wouldn’t you? What about if someone asked you how they could lose weight? What would you tell them?

  • Would you tell them to start eating less?
  • Would you tell them to start an exercise program?
  • Would you tell them to eat a little healthier?
  • Would you tell them to get off the sofa at night and do something active?
  • Would you tell them to pack a light healthy lunch?
  • Would you tell them not to go up for seconds?
  • Would you tell them to have only one scoop of ice cream?
  • What would you tell them? Take your own weight loss advice and start losing weight.

    New Years Resolution – Lose Weight In The New Year

    The New Year has arrived. Is it finally the time to commit to losing the weight you always wanted to lose? Is it finally the time to get fitter than you have ever been? Is it the time to make shallow promises to yourself that you will never keep? What will the New Year bring?

    The answer is simple. It will bring whatever you want it to. It can bring weight loss. It can bring fitness. However, you must be ready to take on the task of losing weight and getting fit. You must take action. You must be willing to make small changes in your life. Conversely, if you are going to lose weight by just talking about it, and not be willing to change a few things in your life. You will be at the same weight or more, this time next year.

    Make a promise and a commitment to do it. Commit to making some small changes in your life. Take action daily towards that commitment and watch your New Years Resolution be fulfilled. Don’t talk about what you are going to do. Take action and talk about what you did that worked. Contrary to people’s belief, you cannot lose weight by just talking about. You must do something about it. I truly believe that anyone can lose weight if they truly want to. Do you truly want to? Okay then, let’s get started. If you are serious about it, answer this question. What are you going to do today to start losing weight?
