Did You Hit Your Weight Loss Goals This Summer?

Did you reach your weight-loss goals this summer? If the answer to this is no, you are not alone. Many people tell themselves that they are going to lose weight for summer. However, most people never do. If fact most people never even get started.

If you missed the opportunity to be thinner this summer, there is still hope and there is still next summer. However, we need to get started now. If you told yourself that you are going to wait until after the first of the year, there is a good chance that you will never lose weight. Why you may be asking? You don’t want it bad enough. If you really want to lose weight, why are you waiting? Why not start losing weight now? The answer is that you really don’t want to lose it. You don’t want to do what it takes to lose it.

Losing weight is not about sacrifice it is about balance. It is about balancing the foods you love with healthier foods so that you lose weight and don’t feel that you have deprived yourself of anything.

This balance takes time to figure out. You can’t do it over night. By starting now you can keep yourself from gaining even more weight that you will have to lose. Therefore, let’s get thinner for next summer by getting started today.

Don’t Get Weight Loss Guilt

Most people I talk to feel guilty when they get off track with their weight-loss goals, or hit an obstacle. It is quite natural to feel this way. However, it is something that has to be dealt with if you want to be successful at losing weight.

It is okay to feel guilty for a short period of time. It is not okay when it affects your desire to get back on track. When a moment of weakness takes you off track, don’t beat yourself up over it, learn from it and move on. A moment of weakness is not the end. It is the beginning of a lesson. It is a learning experience that if learned will help you control your weight for life. Weight loss is an education and part of that education is making mistakes and learning from them. If you feel guilty and quit there is no learning, there is no education, just lots of feeling sorry for yourself.

Therefore, if you want to lose weight, lose the weight loss guilt and succeed.

Best Weight Loss Plan | Best Weight Loss Program

There are many ways, and many weight-loss plans to choose from. There is one common denominator. If you want to lose weight you need to take in fewer calories, then you burn. That is the bottom line. However, why you do it and do you like it, are even more important than the plan itself.

If you don’t like doing what is in the plan, then you won’t do it long term. If you are not enjoying the process, you won’t do it long-term, and you will not have long-term weight-loss success.
If the plan you choose does not address your motivation, odds are that you will fail.

My book “Don’t Diet! Just Think And Get Thin” has had success not because I tell people what to eat and what not to eat, but how to think about weight loss. I show people how to develop their motivation for long-term success at losing weight. I go over what I did to lose the weight. However, I don’t tell people that they have to do it. What worked for me may not work for you. I do, however, show people where their motivation needs to be and how to get it there. Additionally, I guide people through a proven process to get them there.

What is the best weight-loss plan? The best weight-loss plan is one that is personal for you. However, first you must get your weight loss motivation in line with your weight-loss goals.

Tools To Help You Lose Weight

In order to lose the weight that you desire, you need to have a few things in place. You need to have a few tools that will help make it happen.

My book, “Don’t Diet! Just Think And Get Thin” will help you to develop the motivation you need to lose weight and keep it off. A digital scale will help you to track your daily choices. Everyday you should track your weight. You should then track where you are with respect to your short term and long term weight-loss goals. Keep track of it on a calendar that you keep next to the scale.

Create a realistic weight loss goal that you would like to reach and break that goal up into smaller attainable goals.

Create a weight loss plan to reach the above goal, and stick to the plan if it is working, adjust the plan if it is not working.

Get the right equipment for the exercise you select. Try different exercises to find ones that you enjoy doing.

Losing weight starts in your head. If you can get your head in the right place to lose the weight, the rest will fall into place.

    Ask Yourself a Few Questions to Lose Weight

    When I was in the weight-loss process, I asked myself many questions daily. I will share a few of them with you.

  • Is what I am about to eat bringing me towards or away from my weight-loss goals?
  • Is sitting on the sofa after dinner moving me towards or away from my weight-loss goals?
  • Am I eating because I am hungry or just bored?
  • Does my body need what I am about to eat? Is it good for my body?
  • If you ask yourself these questions, and honestly answer them, and act accordingly, you can lose the weight you desire.

    Lose Stress and Lose Weight

    If you are human, you probably have stress. There is no way of escaping it. As you get older, you have more responsibilities and that brings more stress. In addition, being overweight can add additional stress. However, it does not have to get to you. Stress can derail your weight-loss goals, and by lowering stress, you can lose the weight you desire.

    When you’re under pressure your body releases adrenaline to help handle the stress. Adrenaline increases your energy and can lower your appetite for a short period of time. When the stress is over cortisol is released. This hormone is linked to the increase in abdominal fat. It can also increase your appetite.

    You may not be able to control the stress that life brings you. However, there are some things you can do to help you handle it:

  • Plan
  • Plan and make time for yourself. Plan and make time for your workouts. Put it into your day.

  • Eat better
  • It is a good idea to eat high fiber and whole-grain foods if you want to drop the pounds.

  • Don’t add to it.
  • Drinking sounds like a good idea for eliminating stress. However, it can add to stress levels. It screws with your hormone levels. It messes up your blood sugar levels. They can mess up your weight-loss goals.

  • Exercise
  • Exercise is a good way to help manage stress. Try it. It works.

  • Take vitamins
  • During stress, Vitamins B and C are depleted. Restore these nutrients by taking a good multivitamin daily.

    Change Some Things to Lose Weight

    Have you ever attempted to lose weight but didn’t? Maybe the weight loss plan wasn’t the problem, perhaps it was your habits.

    Many people don’t understand that their habits and daily choices have an impact on their weight-loss success. These bad habits that are part of their daily lives are difficult to break. However, making better choices will help people hit their weight-loss goals.

    To have weight-loss success you need to improve your eating habits. You need to start eating a little healthier. Track your food intake and activities for a few days. This will allow you to see what foods are holding you back from achieving your weight-loss goals.

    After you find what foods are holding you back, replace them with healthier options. Add more fiber to you meals. Add whole grain breads, whole grain cereals, brown rice, fruits, and vegetables to your food intake.

    Start exercising. Start slow and build up. Going for a walk is a great place to start.

    Remember how long it took you to get this way. Change takes time. Create a plan and ease yourself into healthier habits and the weight will come off.

    How To Get Your Weight-Loss Goals

    Here are a few simple things to help you stay on track for achieving your weight-loss goals.

    Find your “Reason Why”

    It can be a personal reason, health related reason or an event-related reason.

    Set a Weight-Loss Goal

    To lose weight you need to have a target weight selected. This gives you something to strive for.

    Keep Moving

    “You’ve got to move it move it!” Moving will allow you to burn calories and get in shape.

    Go to the Doctor

    Get a regular checkup from your doctor.

    Take Responsibility

    Only you can lose the weight you desire. No one can do it for you. Take hold of this idea and start with small incremental changes in your habits.

    Be Positive

    Know that you can get to the weight you desire. All you need is the time to do it.

    If you can follow these simple weight-loss ideas, you can lose weight and keep it off.

    Track Your Weight – Weight Loss Tracking

    Part of losing weight is making sure that you are on the right track when it comes to your weight-loss goals. Keeping tack of your weight loss progress is a must if you want to reach your weight-loss goals. By tracking your weight-loss goals you can adjust your weight-loss plan when your weight is not going in the right direction.

    Some of the things you can keep track of are, foods you eat, your exercise routines (length and intensity), and your daily weight. Review your results against your weight-loss goals to see how you are doing. If you are doing well, keep doing what you are doing. If you are off track, make the proper adjustments to your weight-loss plan.

    If you do this, you can lose weight and keep it off.
