Fat Friends Can Keep You Fat – Weight Loss Strategy

Your friends can keep you fat. Think about it. If you hang around overweight people, your activities are probably centered around eating and or drinking. Your activities are probably centered around non-active activities like sitting. If you want to lose weight, you may want to start hanging around people that are thinner and fitter. You may want to do activities with them like, going for walks, riding your bike, join a yoga or exercise class with them. This will get and keep you thinner and fitter.

Now, I am not telling you to dump your overweight friends. I am saying that you need to increase your activity level if you want to lower our weight. If your current friends aren’t willing to do change some of the activities you are doing with them, then you will need to make friends with people that do. If your current friends aren’t concerned about their health, then you need to start hanging out with people that are.

Additionally, I have found that misery loves company. If your overweight friends are like mine, they will either intentionally or unintentionally try to derail your weight loss. It is common for overweight friends and family to try to derail your weight loss. There are many reasons for this that are outside the scope of this article. However, if you want to lose weight, you will need to deal with this. Ignore your friend’s comments like.

  • You are too thin.
  • You look terrible. You need to gain some weight back.
  • You look sick.
  • Ask your doctor what a good weight range for you is, and then stay in that range. If you are in that range, stay in that range, and ignore everyone’s comments.

    Remember that your doctor knows more than your friends about your health. Listen to your doctor and ignore your friends. Eventually, your friends and family will get used to the thinner you, and you won’t have to deal with the harassment.

    Change The Way You Think About Buffets To lose Weight – Weight Loss Strategy

    Buffets used to drive me crazy. My wife once told me that when I saw a buffet, I would get hypnotized and block everyone and everything out.

    If I wanted to lose weight, that would have to change. Are you like I was and suffer from buffet thinking? If the larger number of food selections adds to your temptation, then your answer is probably yes. A recent study I read suggests that the more food selections you have, the more you eat. Select items you have to have (your A-list items) mingled with some healthier items, and it may keep you from overeating.

If you’re feeling that your energy is zapped, and you are sluggish, don’t tell yourself that exercising will sap more of your energy. Remember that it will do just the opposite.     Although most people feel that reduced fat foods are not as tasty as the original, it can help you lose weight by eating less fatty snack foods. Why not try different reduced fat items? Who knows, you may actually find something that you like even more than the original. The key to losing weight is to make long term changes. If you can’t live without it, you won’t be able to eliminate them entirely. However, switching to lower-calorie reduced fat snacks foods can make a noticeable difference in the calories you consume over time.

    Successful Weight Loss Strategy – Make Adjustments To Lose Weight

    A successful weight loss strategy should be based on lowering calorie intake and increasing activity. If you are at a cross roads with your weight, then you need to make adjustments. You need to either, increase your activity, lower your calorie intake or do both. This will allow you to lose the weight you desire. Remember, as you lower your weight you will constantly need to make adjustments to hit that next level. What you did 10 or 20 pounds ago may not work now. You may need to step it up a notch. Therefore, if you want to lose weight constant adjustments will probably be required.
