Eat Lighter Alternatives To Slim Down – Weight Loss Tip

Whenever possible it is a good idea to substitute low-fat versions of things like salad dressings, mayonnaise, and dairy products, if you want to control your weight. You can reduce calories and your weight easily if you are willing to substitute low-fat and lighter products. Other substitutions you can make are:

  • Substitute salsa or hummus as a dip
  • Use mustard instead of mayo on sandwiches
  • Have plain roasted sweet potatoes instead of white potatoes
  • Substitute cream with skim milk in your coffee
  • Eliminate cheese on sandwiches
  • Use vinaigrette on your salad instead of creamy salad dressing
  • Eliminate sugar on your cereal
  • If you can make a few substitutions with your foods, you will be able to lose weight and keep it off.

    Pack Your Own Water To Lose Weight – Weight Loss Tip

    I have written previous posts on the importance of drinking water to lose weight. One of which is:

    However, I realize that it is hard to get ice water when you’re on the go. Therefore, I usually put a bottle or two of water in the freezer every night and take it with me to drink throughout the day. This keeps me in cold water all day and allows me to get the water my body craves.

    Bad eating habits are created over time, but like any bad habit, they can be changed if you have a strong desire to do so. Bad habits are hard to break. They can take a great deal of both dedication and perseverance to change them. People that are successful at losing weight are consistent with making the choice to replace their bad eating and exercise habits with healthier ones. Remember that it usually takes around 20 days in a row to change a bad habit. Let’s start by changing one unhealthy habit and then move to the next one. Then start to watch your weight come off.

    A Break Does Not Have To Mean Food – Weight Loss Tip

    For a lot of people eating a snack is the best part of their lunch or work break. If you fall into this category, do you find yourself spending time thinking about what’s in the vending machine? The answer is simple. Make something else a higher priority. You can take a walk, do some breathing exercises, listen to a couple of minutes of an audio book, do some isometric exercises. These things can give you the break you desire without the calories, and will divert your attention away from food to help you lose weight.
